4. Fronted prepositional phrases and inversion جابه‌جایی عبارت و وارونگی
وقتی یک عبارت حرف‌اضافه‌ای منفی یا محدودکننده برای تأکید به ابتدای جمله می‌آید، فاعل و فعل کمکی جابه‌جا می‌شوند؛ نشانه‌ای از سبک بسیار پیشرفته.

فارسی معانی زیادی را با تعداد کمی واژه مثل «به، در، با، از» بیان می‌کند؛ انگلیسی همان معناها را بین حروف اضافه مختلف تقسیم می‌کند.
Why «به» causes the most confusion چرا «به» بیشترین سردرگمی را ایجاد می‌کند
«به» در فارسی بسته به بافت می‌تواند در انگلیسی to, at, in, on شود. چون to رایج‌ترین ترجمه است، زبان‌آموز ممکن است آن را خودکار انتخاب کند؛ اما انگلیسی به همان حرف اضافه‌ای نیاز دارد که با فعل یا اسم collocate می‌شود.

STUDENT — Oh right, because in Farsi we just say “به تاریخ علاقه دارم” and “به” becomes “to” in my head!
